SUMMARY: It's a veritable late night party in Stores. Windyl is macking on Chad, Reyce needs a spare cot and Sieren's after ginger tabs for Arali's upset stomach. Reyce calls Sieren out on Anwyn's pregnancy.

SUMMARY: The newlyweds travel to the minor hold that is nominally Sieren's, though managed by a Steward. Arali gets to meet the staff at her new 'home' and then Sieren surprises her with quite the gift.

WHEN: day 28, month 9
SUMMARY: Sieren finishes up a turn playing at the Gather. Anwyn literally bumps into him and they share a drink and conversation then dance. Hiding from Weyrwoman Kalinda yields a meeting with an old friend of Sieren's and then Anwyn runs off to catch up with the father of one of her daughters opening up Sieren's time to dance with Arali. Plans to meet Lady Kaile are made for both.

SUMMARY: Sieren admits to slipping up a little with Arali and his lack of understanding of the term 'weyrmate'. Anwyn doesn't take it particularly well. The pair are a little lost between love, propriety and ambition.

SUMMARY: Sieren writes home to Lady Kaile to suggest the scheme to marry Arali.
This letter was written sometime shortly before Sieren's conversation with Arali in the orchard. The language he uses is very carefully chosen to both appeal to his mother, while including some veiled protests about her plots to marry him off in the past. His overall intent is to win her over on the political strengths of the match, however, since Kaile is a bit of a mover and a shaker politically, while being very subtle about it it.
( Through my connections here at the Caucus, I have made the acquaintance of one of the Bitran Bloods and I find the young lady charming enough that a union between us and our two Holds would not displease me. )

SUMMARY: Anwyn's suffering Rosalith's pain while Sieren does some preparation for the mock negotiation between classes. Anwyn soldiers on and the pair make some assignment plans for the event, until Sieren insists on Anwyn taking a break and cares for her until Rosalith wakes.

SUMMARY: Anwyn comes to see Sieren at the end of the day. He has dinner ready for her along with a very good wine from his personal collection. The conversation is a little more serious as Anwyn questions somewhat, whether or not the face Sieren shows her is true or not.

SUMMARY: Sieren comes across Anwyn and Arali in conversation by the river at the end of the day. With all three of them sitting to watch the sunset, the conversation remains light on the surface, but interesting tension runs beneath.

The weather at the Eastern Caucus on day 18, month 8:
A cool wind eases in to break up the heat of the day, its gusts drying out the humidity and clearing away what scattered clouds remain in the sky.
SUMMARY: Arali waylays Sieren and tells him a secret he can't share. Then she tries to get him to play a game with her, only he's already got a game of his own going. The path to hell ... paved with good intentions.

SUMMARY: Anwyn drops by between classes to check in with Sieren. They talk about Arali a little and that leads to talking about the game of politics and it's possible effects on them. Anwyn has a much better grasp of propriety and will-power than Sieren.

SUMMARY: Arali and Sieren have dinner in a loud and crowded Great Hall but still somehow manage to make a very loaded wager. Arali displays feminine wiles, Sieren doesn't display much of anything at all.

WHEN:
SUMMARY: Amerigo and Zotzilath bring Sieren along to the Conclave. They wander the Hold and rejoin just before dinner for a wide-ranging conversation that touches on the South Telgar situation and how it might affect Holds and Weyrs and more personal things such as siblings or the lack thereof.
There was a lot of shooting from the hip on my part around potential plot points in this scene and around assumed knowledge of people/places. If there's anything that leaps out at anyone as being dead wrong, please do point it out. References used in-scene were the news files on each area and the information on Weyrleaders and Holders contained therein. Political stuff about South Telgar was made up on the spot.
( I very much doubt anything of interest will happen, then. )
